Day 5 – 1st June 2009

We saw this Crested Barbet as we drove to our photography course – Not a bad welcome sign! The course was a real highlight of the trip. Incredible value for money; I cannot recommend it highly enough for anybody with an interest in either photography or wildlife. It was run by Sean Pattrick. Along with Marius Swart, who came along to the course, they were easily the most knowledgable guides of our trip – a real treat to have all that information available during our 10 hours of game drives each day.

They both run a company called Clearly Africa, which we will definitely use if we return to Africa
The course was held at Sausage tree tented camp in Balule game reserve. The camp was also fantastic, we were very well looked after by James, our third guide between four of us on the course! Yet another recommendation for a trip to South Africa
